星雲大師秉持傳播真善美的理念，在1998年創立了佛光衛視，默默耕耘了五個年頭，並自2002年10月起以「年輕化、教育化、國際化、公益化」為願景，更名為人間衛視，期望更能落實人間佛法的精神，為社會及世界帶來祥和與歡喜，LOGO上由內而外伸出的蓮花花瓣，象徵宏觀的國際化視野，將關懷層面觸及全世界，灑下心的種子。而包容於內的三片蓮花花瓣則分別代表蓬勃的年輕朝氣，教育理念的傳達，以及對公益的深切關懷，也是人間衛視製作節目的理念。
The muddy water where a lotus grows is like a world of mortality full of chaos and worries. After hibernation in winter, she grows into a pure and clean lotus. That purity and cleanness of a lotus symbolizes a non-polluted TV channel.
With amazing vitality, the lotus will go through cool autumn and freezing winter and be in full blossom in summer.
The spirit of lotus is the same as the spirit of BLTV.
In year 1998, in order to emphasize the purpose of prevailing and realizing the concepts of “truth, virtue, beauty”, Master Hsing yun established Buddha’s Light Television. (BLTV). Ever since the establishment of BLTV, BLTV has been exerting itself and striving for five years for the best to instill the spirit of Humanistic Buddhism into people’s lives and thus bring blessing peace, joyfulness and happiness to the society and the world. Starting from October 2002. Buddha’s Light TV., is going to be renamed as Beautiful Life TV. Being youthful, educational, international, and civic-minded is our goal and vision. The logo, in which a lotus extends its petals, symbolizes an international view, meaning we care about the whole world and we are devoted to widespread the seeds of “heart”. The three petals that still folds inside symbolize the booming and fresh-spirited youth, the conveyance for educational ideal and our deep concern for public welfare.
